My experience so far, figuring out the best lures, locations, and times of day for catching all the fish – note that this is just for lure fishing, not bait fishing 🙂 You’ll also catch some fish using other methods, but these have been my best ‘consistent catch’ setups.

Brown Bullhead

Evening, light rain:
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead
Location #2, evening, light rain, casting under the big bridge
Location #1, standing on the rocks under the old bridge, casting far to the left
Between #3 and #4, standing at the wood dam closer to 4, casting in the direction of the wooden bridge at 3

Soft lures:
Robinson classic twist 8cm orange, slow straight, let it sink to just above the bottom

Noon, overcast

Location #3, cross the bridge to the other side and walk along that little jetty, and cast in that direction towards the wooden poles

Soft lure:
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm black and red, slow straight, let it sink to just above the bottom

Rainbow Trout

Evening, light rain:
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead

Soft lures:
UFA twister 8cm blue red, slow straight

Noon, clear sky:
Location #1 casting far left
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead
Location #2 on the little boards, casting left or right

Soft lures:
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm blue soft lure, slow straight
Robinson Asp spoon 7g silver, straight

Minnow lure:
Robinson Marteen 65mm, straight 32% (Bigger catches with this, but less frequent)

Noon, overcast

Spinner lure:
Robinson Sonic s28 13g, straight

The new big lake location is great for rainbow trout too with the above time/weather/lures.

Sockeye Salmon

Noon, clear sky
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead
Location #1 casting far left

Soft lures:
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm blue soft lure, slow straight
UFA twister 8cm blue red, slow straight

Evening, light rain
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead

Spoon lures:
Robinson Basic K01 7G green yellow red, straight

Soft lures:
UFA twister 8cm blue red, slow straight

The new big lake location is great for salmon too with the above time/weather/lures.

Smallmouth Bass

Evening, light rain
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead
Location #2, casting under the big bridge
Between #3 and #4, standing at the wood dam closer to 4, casting in the direction of the wooden bridge at 3

Left of location $4 standing on the leftmost edge of the grey rocks, fishing towards the gravel beach opposite to the left
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead

Spinner lure:
Robinson SonicS33 10G silver gold straight

Largemouth Bass

Evening, light rain
Between #3 and #4, standing at the wood dam closer to 4, casting in the direction of the wooden bridge at 3

Soft lure:
Robinson classic twist 8cm orange, slow straight

Noon, overcast
Location #1 casting right

Minnow lure:
Robinson Marteen 65mm, straight 32% (Bigger catches with this, but less frequent)

Evening, stormy
Location #3 casting down the middle of the river underneath the big bridge

Minnow lure:
Robinson Marteen 65mm, straight 22%

Yellow Perch

Evening, light rain
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead
Between #3 and #4, standing at the wood dam closer to 4, casting in the direction of the wooden bridge at 3

Soft lure:
Robinson classic twist 8cm orange, slow straight

Grass Pickerel

Noon, clear sky
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead

Soft lure:
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm blue soft lure, slow straight

Evening, light rain
Location #4/5 at the pier, fishing straight ahead

Soft lure:
Robinson classic twist 8cm orange, slow straight
UFA twister 8cm blue red, slow straight

Redfin Pickerel

I’ve caught multiple redfins all around this spot, and all evening stormy. Stand against the wooden poles that extend into the water near spot 3, and cast from there to either side of them.

Soft lure:

Robinson Classic Twist 8cm black and red, slow, speed 10 – 14.

Pumpkinseed

Noon, clear

Can be caught frequently on the stretch between locations 3, 4, and 5

Soft lure:
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm orange, slow straight
Robinson Classic Twist 8cm blue soft lure, slow straight

Bluegill

Spot 3, cross onto the little wooden bridge and cast towards the poles sticking out of the water on the right-hand side (towards the white building).

Robinson Classic Twist orange, 10-14 speed

These fish can be very elusive – keep at it!
